Gravel riding can feel intimidating — especially if you’re new, riding solo, or don’t see yourself reflected in traditional cycling spaces. Dirt Squad was created to change that.
We exist to lower the barrier to entry, build confidence through community, and make off-road riding feel accessible, supportive, and fun. No pressure. No minimum pace. Just a group of riders showing up for each other.

Founder story
How Dirt Squad started
Dirt Squad was founded by Crystal Kovacs after discovering the power of gravel riding and the impact of a welcoming cycling community. What began as a personal love for riding quickly became a mission to create a space where others could feel supported, capable, and excited to get on the bike.
Dirt Squad continues to grow with that same mindset: lead with kindness, ride together, and make room for everyone.
